About Me

Hi y’all, my name is Eric and I am the mind, creator, and journalist operating Oregon’s Elite. I created this site in January 2019 with the intention of bring wider coverage to Oregon’s student-athletes. Since I launched, I have covered almost 100 different schools from across Oregon, most notably in the Portland Metro, Salem-Keizer, and Albany-Eugene.

Most of my coverage centers around Salem-Keizer, but I have made advances into the Portland Metro and Albany-Eugene regions. This past year, I was able to bring coverage of Sheldon’s first softball state title, Jesuit’s first girls lacrosse state title, and Lake Oswego’s first boys lacrosse state title as well.

I work and live in Salem, but I do much more than just cover student-athletes. During the week, I work with students in Salem-Keizer and Albany, and next year I’ll be enrolling in an ECE program through the University of Cincinnati along with trying to learn Italian. Of course, I’ll always be around in the evening bringing coverage of high school sports.

When I’m not impacting the lives of children, covering student-athletes, or doing homework, I’m probably relaxing at home, watching Ohio State or one of my other Ohio teams, or just out and about being an everyday Joe. I might not live a “normal” life per say, but its one that certainly keeps me entertained and on my toes for the next adventure. Keep an eye out, I might be coming to your school next!
